No Sails Tax for This Skipper (But YOU still have to walk the plank)

Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry is saving about $500,000 is sales and excise taxes for docking his family's $7 Million yacht in Rhode Island, instead of his home state.  Some have seized on this story to rip this Democrat for cheating his bankrupt home state out of much needed 'revenue' or being a hypocrite for voting to increase taxes and then 'avoiding his own share'.  Valid points all, but since Kerry is depriving the Mass. State Government of money, I say "Bravo!" since anything that can be done to starve the beast should be encouraged.

Unfortunately though, Kerry is just another cog in the government machine, even though his wish to keep some of his own money out of the state coffers coincides with those of liberty-lovers.  He  and his wife have 5, multi-million dollar homes, a brand new 76-foot yacht and trust funds galore.  There's nothing wrong with being wealthy.  But it would be nice to see him vote and legislate with the same fiscal prudence when dishing out stolen wealth from the people's Treasury as he is with his own cash.  Maybe he could propose a bill where those of us without multiple residences could enjoy picking and choosing our state sales/excise tax rate?  Fat chance, serfs!

The internet you say?  Try telling that to Kerry's congressional  PIC

Update: The People's Cube congratulates  commrade Kerry on his latest purchase.  Brilliant!
