Julian Assange, Enemy of the Global State

What does real courage look like?  Julian Assange the editor in chief (and sometimes referred to as founder) of Wikileaks.

Wikileaks describes itself as :
"a multi-jurisdictional public service designed to protect whistleblowers, journalists and activists who have sensitive materials to communicate to the public. Since July 2007, we have worked across the globe to obtain, publish and defend such materials, and, also, to fight in the legal and political spheres for the broader principles on which our work is based: the integrity of our common historical record and the rights of all peoples to create new history."

In April, Wikileaks posted a video  of sadistic, trigger happy, (perfectly trained) helicopter gunners murdering a few mundanes that held journalist credentials .

Today, Wikileaks posted  ~90,000 documents relating to the Afghanistan (undeclared) War.  Obviously, Assange is hated by the states whose secrets he reveals.  He is in fear of his life ,  and worse than death, being kidnapped by the Pentagon .  In the latest posting, Assange brings the reality of (undeclared) war into focus by making available a virtual diary of events from 2004-2010:

"It is the total history of the Afghan war from 2004 to 2010, with some important exceptions -- U.S. Special Forces, CIA activity and most of the activity of other non-U.S. groups," Assange said.

"What we haven't seen previously is all those individual deaths," he said. "We've seen just the number and like Stalin said, 'One man's death is a tragedy, a million dead is a statistic.' So, we've seen the statistic."

Confronting the Coalition of the Willing head on is not easy.  War is highly profitiable, both economically and politically , for the state.  It is the health of the State .  Anyone who reveals the true nature of the State's war(s) is playing a dangerous game with an empire that claims the right to assassinate anyone, anywhere and at anytime for being a 'suspected terrorist'.  Sedition has been , and will always be, a favorite tool of regimes to squash dissent.  Assange is a hero to all who stand up to see injustice fall, and a nightmare to those who would love to keep their secrets from reaching Boobus.

Unfortunately, the information on the Afghan (undeclared) War will most likely be used to justify more meddling with Pakistain , and perhaps another foreign-folly a la Afghanistan.

No matter, with people like Julian Assange, the cockroaches won't be able to hid from the sunshine forever.
