By no means do they hate us because last December our cruise missile attack on an alleged al-Qa’ida training camp in Yemen which "carried cluster munitions, killed 41 local residents, including 14 women and 21 children."

They don't hate us because our soldiers rape  and torture  their men, women and children .

They don't hate us because our soldiers this January "formed kill teams in Afghanistan and took body parts as trophies including fingers legs and teeth."

They don't hate us for the 62 drone strikes this year alone in Pakistan killing scores of militants and civilians alike.

They don't hate us because our government lawyers are blocking the release of photos from Iraq depicting "sexual assaults on prisoners with objects including a truncheon, wire and a phosphorescent tube."

They don't hate us because we have 50,000 combat troops, 100,000 American military contractors and a permanent embassy bigger than the Vatican all of which will remain in Iraq for likely decades.

And by no means do they hate us because we have prisoners locked up in Guantanamo, and Bagram who our government lawyers are still arguing deserve no basic rights, nor the torture victims whom our government lawyers are still arguing have no right to sue based on "state secrets."
