Is TSA abuse intentional?
Well, of course it's intentional; the TSA intends to see you naked or feel you up if you want to fly in the United State.
My question more specifically; why is the TSA and Big Sis Napolitano pushing the American public regarding invasive and criminal 'security' procedures? There are new stories surfacing everyday about injustices suffered at the hands of our supposed protectors. A mother is sexually assaulted . A nun is groped. Even the TSA's employees are getting a taste of why generating naked pictures of unwilling participants is criminal. People are tweeting (Obama no less ), facebooking, blogging, YouTubing, creating new websites and making movies about their horrific experiences and their pledge to refrain from air travel until the porno-scanners and groping are eliminated. Even the MSM is forced to divert from its usual state-approved messages and give the backlash some coverage . The kiddie-porn generators don't work , they irradiate its victims , they wouldn't have even caught the "Underwear Bumbler ", the pat downs/groping won't even detect this type of terrorist, the pat downs are clearly sexual assault and an unwarranted search of your person and every attempt by any person to do harm on an airplane post-9/11 has been thwarted by the passengers after the government failed to detect the threat.
Why won't the TSA relent? It seems as though they're doubling down and digging in even deeper.
We just recently witnessed an election cycle where a large portion of the population began to regain their senses and voted for candidates both red and blue, who stood for liberty, freedom and smaller government (well, paid lip services to those ideals at least). Anti-government sentiment is at an all time high. Surprisingly, even principled civil-liberty-leftists and traditional small-government-righties are finding some common ground. Personally, I have yet to meet anyone who says, "Yeah, I love these new scanners and the fondling! My 13 year old daughter thinks it's swell too!", though from perusing the internets I have read comments to that effect (seriously, what's wrong with these people? why are they so afraid?).
So why won't the TSA relent? I put forth the proposition that whether attributed to intentional malice or stupid coincidence, the TSA has created the perfect crisis which, as they have indicated previously , will not be allowed to go to waste by our state rulers. The TSA is stirring the pot to usher in the most invasive level of police-state control imaginable; a biometrically monitored population that will make us nostalgic for 1984.
Here's how it works: John Q Public is fired up over the TSA. Realizing that they've hit a sensitive area, the state continues to push the people to their breaking point. On the cusp of a populous revolt or an airline lobbyist induced change of heart, the TSA is willing to consider other options to 'keep us safe'. The magic bullet appears; biometric national IDs. The rulers in Washington promote it is as a 'bi-partisan, common sense approach that doesn't infringe on any civil liberties' (I can just see 'mortal enemies' Pelosi and Boehner walking hand and hand...oh wait ). The media will parade expert after expert touting the benefits of biometric IDs. All but a handful of citizens will welcome the supposed 'safe, effective and non-invasive' program over radiation and cavity searches.
Fingerprints can be altered, but retina's can't, so I'm guessing the mode of action will be retina scanners. The technology is here and is already being used in lots of applications; an entire city in Mexico recently adopted the technology. Hundreds of people's retinas can be scanned in seconds with a few scanners and instantly cross-referenced with a database containing criminal background history, the infallible 'do not fly' and 'terrorist watch lists', phone records, tax records, banking history, travel history, facebook status, etc. Any electronic piece of data that can be stored will be part of your government retina ID (remember, the feds already listed to every phone call and read every e-mail). Since you can't change out your eyeballs (yet) the opportunity for fraud is zilch. As Jeff Carter CDO of Global Rainmakers (a biometric R&D company) indicates, retina scans would be perfect for airport security,
"If you’ve been convicted of a crime, in essence, this will act as a digital scarlet letter. If you’re a known shoplifter, for example, you won’t be able to go into a store without being flagged. Certainly for others, boarding a plane will be impossible." (emphasis mine)
Even if there was an organized backlash to national biometric IDs, they would still come to fruition. Just like the REAL ID program, Uncle Sam will bribe or extort the states into submission. And as cities, municipalities and entire states are going tits-up, there will be plenty of pigs lining up to Bernanke's FED trough. It will also begin as a 'voluntary' program whereby good little citizens will opt-in to the system to avoid the hassle of Cherto-scanners and pedo-pat downs. You've got nothing to hide, right comrade? Only a terrorist would opt-out of the system. You're not a terrorist, are you?
Putting on my tin foil hat for a moment, this would clearly be the work of the globalist elites hell bent on bringing about a one world order police state, whereby they profit from our enslavement. Taking off my mind control blocking device, I realize that a global world order is and has been called for by the richest and most powerful people in the world and that they're already profiting by selling us our own chains.
Is this so far fetched, a national biometric ID? Not at all. And does is really matter if the TSA intentionally manufactures public outrage to usher in even more totalitarian control measures or that they just exploited a crisis that presented itself? Not in the least. (Sidebar: Do I like answering questions I pose to myself? You're damn right I do!)
There are no signs that the TSA will back down; likewise, I don't think the people will either (nor should they). As the anger and passion builds among the populous, it will be important not to lose sight of the goal; the elimination of unconstitutional, criminal and sadistic 'security' procedures and in the end, the incompetent and fail-to-protect-you TSA itself. Do not buy any solution that comes from Washington. It will be the typical bait and switch where we are given the illusion that the state has yielded to the will of the people. If you're like me, and like answering your own questions, ask yourself this; when have our rulers in DC ever done anything to curb their own power?
